PPGH Hosts Trauma Fair to Enhance Nurse Education
Palo Pinto General Hospital (PPGH) proudly hosted a Trauma Fair for our dedicated nursing staff, partnering with leading healthcare organizations to provide the latest trauma education. In collaboration with Parkland Health, Texas Health Resources (THR), and the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), the event offered hands-on learning opportunities and up-to-date training in critical areas of trauma care.
The Trauma Fair featured engaging and practical sessions:
- Berry Hudson from the ENA led a pediatric trauma simulation, equipping our nurses with skills to address emergencies involving children.
- Parkland Health provided vital snake bite education, addressing a common concern in our region.
- THR shared expertise on burn care, a crucial component of trauma management.
- Dr. John Jones, a skilled physician at PPGH, conducted interactive sessions on chest tubes, traction, and fracture management, ensuring our staff is prepared for a wide range of patient needs.
At PPGH, we recognize the importance of ongoing education and staying current with advancements in healthcare. Hosting events like the Trauma Fair is just one of the ways we invest in our staff to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional, life-saving care to our community.
By fostering continuous learning and collaboration with respected healthcare partners, PPGH reaffirms its commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development.
