Palo Pinto General Hospital Announces Closure of Mobile Clinic

Friday, May 16, 2025

MINERAL WELLS, TX — After thoughtful consideration, Palo Pinto General Hospital (PPGH) has made the decision to close its Mobile Clinic. The final day of service will be May 22, 2025.

This decision was not made lightly. The Mobile Clinic has been a trusted source of care in Palo Pinto County for many years. We are incredibly proud of the compassion and dedication shown by our Mobile Clinic team, who served our community with heart and consistency every step of the way.

However, healthcare needs and delivery models are evolving. In the first seven months of Fiscal Year 2025 (October 2024 – April 2025), the Mobile Clinic averaged just 73 patient visits per month — approximately four patients per day — reflecting a 17% decrease from the previous year.

At the same time, PPGH has significantly expanded access to care throughout the county. Patients now have multiple options to receive high-quality care at our family health clinics - all of which are accepting new patients.

Walk-in availability is offered at our Santo, Gordon, and Graford locations, as well as the Urgent Care Center in Mineral Wells. Urgent Care is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Primary & Family Care Locations:

Letters are being mailed to all patients who have designated the Mobile Clinic as their primary care provider. Our team is actively assisting with the transition and ensuring continuity of care. Patients can request their medical records at ppgh.com or by contacting the PPGH Medical Records Department at (940) 328-7521.

We thank our patients for their trust and want to assure the community that high-quality, patient-centered care remains available through PPGH’s network of clinics across Palo Pinto County.
