TAX STATEMENT: FY 2009 - 2010
This year’s tax levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceed last year’s maintenance and operations tax levy. Also, this year’s M&O tax rate is higher than the effective maintenance and operations tax rate of last year. Palo Pinto County Hospital District PROPOSED A TAX RATE THAT WILL INCREASE TAX REVENUES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS OVER LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.99% AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-5.68.

NOTICE OF VOTE ON TAX RATE
The Palo Pinto County Hospital District conducted public hearings on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the Palo Pinto County Hospital District from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 7.99% on September 1, 2009 at 9:00 am and September 8, 2009 at 6:00 pm.
The Board of Directors is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on September 21, at 5:30 pm at the Palo Pinto General Hospital Board Room located at 400 S.W. 25th Ave., Mineral Wells, Texas.
